Producer, author, and entrepreneur Heather Chandler is the founder and Executive Producer of Media Sunshine, Incorporated. After several years in the trenches of game production, she started her own development studio in Cary, North Carolina. Heather has worked for Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Activision, Psyonix Studios, cdv Software, Her Interactive, SDI Media, SouthPeak Games, Artificial Studios, and Batallón 52.

During her thirteen years on the front lines of the game industry, she has contributed to the production of Vigilante 8, Apocalypse, Civilization: Call to Power, Heavy Gear 2, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, Monster Madness: Grave Danger, and the first eight games in the Ghost Recon series (including Advanced Warfighter). Her most recent projects are Two Worlds and Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.

She's the author of The Game Production Handbook (which was a finalist for the 2008 Game Developer Front Line Awards) and The Game Localization Handbook (a finalist for the 2005 Front Line Awards), and she's the co-author of the upcoming Fundamentals of Game Development. She also writes Production Values, a column at Gamasutra.com, and her articles have been published in The Project Manager's Desk Reference (Third Edition) and Secrets of the Game Business (First and Second Editions). In 2006, she became the chairperson of the IGDA Production SIG, and is currently the Conference Chair for the IGDA Leadership Forum. Heather is a frequent guest speaker at colleges and universities, and has lectured at GDC, Future Play, and the Montreal Game Summit. She graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University and received an M.A. from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
